For organisers

Embed Biddly on your website

Add an events list widget or a single-event checkout iframe on Wix, Squarespace, WordPress, and more — or share a short link on socials.

Before you start

Sign in to your organisation dashboard and open Developer. Copy either the events list widget snippet or the single-event iframe snippet. You will paste that code into your website builder. Prefer the iframe for checkout on builders that sandbox custom code (especially Wix).

  • Events list widget — JavaScript that lists your published events
  • Single-event checkout — an iframe of one event page from Developer
  • No website? Skip embeds and share your short link instead (see Social media below)

Most builders only allow custom HTML or scripts on a paid plan. If the widget does not appear, check your plan and publish/preview as a visitor.

Events list widget

Your organisation Developer section includes a copy-ready JavaScript snippet. It lists published events and links buyers into checkout. You can set layout and limit attributes to match your site.

Single-event checkout iframe

Copy a ready-made iframe from Developer on your organisation dashboard. It shows one event so buyers can check out without leaving your site.

Wix

Wix calls this Embed HTML (or Embed a site). The embed runs inside a sandboxed frame, so the single-event checkout iframe is usually the smoothest option. The events list script can also work when pasted as Embed HTML.

  • Open your site in the Wix Editor
  • Click Add Elements → Embed Code → Embed HTML (wording may vary slightly)
  • Paste the Biddly iframe or widget snippet from Developer
  • Resize the embed box so buyers can see the full checkout
  • Publish your site and test on a phone

Only HTTPS embeds work on Wix. Use the code from your Biddly dashboard — do not change https://biddly.app URLs.

Squarespace

Squarespace uses a Code Block for custom widgets. On many plans you can also use Code Injection for site-wide scripts. The simpler Embed Block only works for Squarespace’s own partner list — for Biddly, use a Code Block.

  • Edit the page where tickets should appear
  • Add a Code Block (not a Markdown block)
  • Set the block to HTML display mode
  • Paste the Biddly iframe or widget snippet from Developer
  • Save and preview in Safe Mode or an incognito window if the editor hides custom code

JavaScript and iframes need a Core, Business, or Commerce-class plan. Personal plans often save the code but do not run it for visitors.

WordPress

Self-hosted WordPress (WordPress.org on your own host) can paste the snippet into a Custom HTML block with no special plan. WordPress.com is stricter: Custom HTML with iframe or script tags needs a paid plan with hosting features activated (install a plugin once to unlock them).

  • Edit the page or post in the block editor
  • Add a Custom HTML block
  • Paste the Biddly iframe or widget snippet from Developer
  • Update / publish the page and check it while logged out
  • Optional on self-hosted sites: wrap the snippet in a shortcode plugin if your theme prefers that

WordPress.com’s Embed block only auto-embeds known partners (YouTube, Spotify, and so on). Biddly needs Custom HTML, not the Embed block.

Shopify

Shopify stores add third-party embeds through a Custom Liquid section in the theme editor. That is the usual path for an events list or checkout iframe on a product, page, or home template.

  • Online Store → Themes → Customise
  • Open the page or template where tickets should appear
  • Add section → Custom Liquid
  • Paste the Biddly iframe or widget snippet into the Liquid code field
  • Save and preview the storefront (not only the editor)

If nothing appears, check the browser console for Content Security Policy errors from another app, and try the iframe snippet first.

GoDaddy Website Builder

GoDaddy’s builder includes an HTML section (sometimes labelled HTML widget). Paste the Biddly snippet there the same way you would add a map or form.

  • Edit your GoDaddy website
  • Add a section and choose HTML
  • Paste the Biddly iframe or widget snippet from Developer
  • Adjust height so the checkout is fully visible
  • Publish and test on mobile

Other website builders

Hostinger, IONOS, Webflow, Weebly, and most other builders follow the same pattern: look for Embed, HTML, Code, or Custom code, then paste the snippet from Developer. Prefer the checkout iframe if a script tag is blocked.

  • Webflow — Add an Embed element and paste the snippet
  • Hostinger / IONOS — look for HTML or Custom Code in the section menu
  • Weebly — Embed Code or HTML embed element

If your builder refuses custom code on the free tier, upgrade one plan level or share a short link until you can embed.

Social media — share a short link

Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and WhatsApp do not let third-party tools drop a purchase widget inside the feed. For socials, share your event short link (for example https://bidd.ly/cY23vhj) or the full https://biddly.app/events/… URL. Copy the link or QR from Live Events or event preview.

  • Instagram — put the short link in your bio, or use a link sticker on Stories (business/creator accounts)
  • TikTok — put the short link in your bio and say “link in bio” on the video
  • Facebook — add the short link as the event Tickets / Website URL so the Get Tickets button appears, and paste it in posts
  • WhatsApp / email / SMS — paste the short link; buyers open it in their browser
  • LinkedIn / X — paste the short link in the post
  • Posters and door signs — download the QR from Live Events (it encodes the same short URL)

Social apps open links in an in-app browser. If checkout feels awkward, ask buyers to open the link in Safari or Chrome — or share the QR so they scan into their normal browser.

Direct links without socials

Email newsletters, print, and QR codes can point straight to your short link or full event URL — no embed required. Public overview also lives on /embed.
